How ATOVIA is run.
How ATOVIA works
Medical law and health management services
ATOVIA follows the Ministry of Health and Welfare guidelines on non-medical health management services. Refunds we can guarantee 100%, but under medical law we cannot say we guarantee the healing or treatment of a chronic condition 100%. Under medical law we also do not carry out medical consultation — diagnosis, history taking, prescription, treatment, procedures, surgery, direction, testing, reading or opinion — and the programs ATOVIA provides are fundamentally not for the purpose of healing or treatment.
That said, anyone referred for self-care by a medical professional, and anyone with a clear diagnosis, is welcome to take an active part in ATOVIA Wellness programs, which support treatment and natural recovery. So if you have an immune condition, we recommend visiting a medical institution yourself for a diagnosis. Note that diagnoses, prescriptions and referrals can differ between hospitals and Korean medicine clinics. We suggest visiting a Korean medicine clinic that refers patients for self-care, rather than a hospital, to get your diagnosis.
You do not need to bring a medical certificate.
A verbal diagnosis from a specialist and advice to look after your health is enough.
ATOVIA is also not a medical institution. We therefore cannot tell you whether a particular symptom means an illness is present or at risk, and we do not provide diet or exercise programs for the purpose of directly treating a patient's illness without a specialist's prescription, diagnosis or referral. We also do not recommend taking supplements (which we may sell) or medicines, and we do not provide rehabilitation or physiotherapy services. So if you have an immune condition and have not been diagnosed or tested by a medical professional, it is difficult for us to help you directly.
ATOVIA PREVIEW DESK
Guidelines on non-medical health management services
We have stripped out the old flipbook shell and replaced it with a code-owned preview desk that opens directly on the live site. The route from entering a document to reading it immediately and downloading it is unchanged, but the surface is far more like a real service.

VIEWER STATUS
How documents are opened
Opening directly, downloading and previewing the text are now one block under the current owner. Lectures, materials and guidance documents no longer feel as though they float separately — the density is matched so it reads as a single operating desk.

That said, a condition may improve indirectly while you are on a program. To judge whether things are getting better or worse as you go, look at the photographs. We do not make that judgement ourselves — we may receive photographs of your skin, but what we give you is health information about daily habits. If you really want to know how it is going, please get a fresh diagnosis at a medical institution.

Government

International bodies

Academic societies
ATOVIA provides information with its sources named — government, international bodies, public institutions, academic societies and organisations with expertise in medicine, drawing on scientifically verified material. We have gathered the opposing positions of Western and Korean medicine side by side. Accordingly, Through non-medical consultation, education, training, practice and programs, we help you get past atopy — graduate from it — for the purpose of maintaining and improving health, preventing illness in advance, stopping it worsening, and supporting natural recovery.
The goal of the programs is to lead you to a healthy life for good. We set your personal health goals and provide non-medical consultation, education and consulting on everyday health activities such as nutrition, exercise and sleep. Finally, an illness and a condition are different things, so the way they are treated and managed can differ. We cannot diagnose you directly, and we state clearly that if you take part in a program without a clear diagnosis from a medical professional, any consequences are your own responsibility.
About ATOVIA's activities
Things to be careful about in the community
Every choice about your health, including whether to use medication or herbal medicine, is yours alone. Even when you receive feedback, the responsibility for choosing it is yours. ‘Vitamins, supplements, noni, chlorella, moisturisers and so on’ — please remember there is no method that is absolutely right or absolutely wrong. Never copy one or two methods to extremes, mine included.
Treat the information on this site as a ‘reference’ too, and learn to adjust it to your own situation and condition. The principle of getting out of atopy is the same for everyone, but no two bodies are alike, so differences are inevitable. The point of atopy wellness is that by recording your life, you (or a parent) come to know your own body (or your child's). It is not about being told to do this and not that.
So what exactly
should you do?
ATOVIA will go on giving you correct information about atopy. Rather than presenting one or two particular methods as the truth, we will give you the opposing views together, so that you have the chance to judge for yourself. Do not simply do as you are told — take part on the site, understand the whole context of caring for atopy, and build your own standard.
This site will be a place where the curriculum helps each of you build a standard that fits your own body. We will give you guidelines from first to last. Learn what you do not know, share it, and put it into practice. Atopy is not incurable — manage it the right way, in the way that suits your own condition, and you will get past it.

Sharing

Learning

Leading
For the good of all, we want to make practice, sharing, learning and leading a culture that belongs to people living with atopy. In most cases it all ends in selling a product or promoting a clinic, and it has been a real shame that there has been no skin-related site in Korea run the way ATOVIA is. So the material you produce here may be used by our team as a reference to encourage others. (Anonymity guaranteed.)
If you do not agree with the above, please do not take part in the atopy challenge on this site. And even if you do agree, those who are not yet full ATOVIA members should not simply take the atopy challenge form and plough ahead — please read the booklet “The last solution for your strange (atopic) life” first. You need to review how you have been managing atopy up to now.

Court ruling that posts about daily habits are not medical advertising (link)
* In general, using the phrase natural healing for the purpose of a medical act violates Article 5 of the Medical Service Act.
However, when it is used to mean preventing illness or improving daily habits for better health, it is not read as a violation of the Medical Service Act. *
